  • Fabric Suggestions

    This style should be made in a stretch jersey that has a Lycra content. A polyester or viscose is perfect. Something soft with drape works well.

    It would look great in a bold print, a small geometric or a plain. It really is so versatile.

    ​Adaptations

    The pattern includes a short sleeve or ¾ sleeve version so you can choose which one is best for you.

    If the neckline is a little low for you, you can’t raise it on this pattern as it would make it a funny shape. It might be a good idea to make a slip dress to wear under it such as Flawless Cami slip.

    Skill Level

    This dress pattern is aimed at a more experienced sewer. There’s nothing too tricky here but the binding can take a while as there’s quite a lot of it. Experience of handling fabric and knowing how best to attach the binding to make it fit the dress well so there’s no dragging on the dress once it’s finished and on the body is required. There are no zips, no interfacing, no gathering and no hand sewing.
